Color Week – Blue/Purple

Well, I know this first project isn’t primarily blue or purple, but the added touches are blue!! :) My pincushion is made with a bandana, pillow stuffing, embroidery thread, & a blue flower bead

My first attempt at a throw pillow, made from an old work shirt & pillow stuffing (my boyfriend & I met & fell in love while working together at this place, so I thought it would make a nice reminder, hehe)

And, trust me, this is art!! :D *LOL* (I call this piece “what happens to ex-boyfriend’s cars when they cheat on you” ~ note, I did not do this!!! I just got a big kick out of it! Can you say *K-A-R-M-A*?! LOL)

Today’s musings – ATCs & other pics

Well, I got into crafty mode today, & finally made my June & Litha ATCs, as well as my Litha SoS page, & started on June’s Quickie Craft.

Here’s my Litha ATC:

Here’s the ATC Wheel of the Year, in progress. Obviously, it started with doing a painting for each of the Sabbats, but when I discovered the fun of ATCs, I decided it would suit the purpose better! It started with Yule & Imbolc paintings, and followed with Ostara-Litha ATCs:

And, just for fun :) , here’s my altar as it was on Litha:

I also made my June ATC:

And here’s a view of March-June:

Here’s my Scrapbook of Sabbats page for Litha. It’s definitely asking for more, but I don’t really have much more to put on it. I think I may just write in what I did for the holiday.

Like I said, I also *finally* started on my Quickie Craft doll. To me, this is no quickie craft, & I’ve been dreading making it just because I’m dreading how it’s gonna turn out. However, I really want to make it regardless. I want to keep her on my altar & make different clothes for her for each of the Sabbats :) Yeah, I have way more ideas & plans than I do time & sanity!!! ;)

Color Week – (Belated) Yellow, & Orange

As yesterday was the 4th of July, I was a wee bit busy. Sorry for not posting a yellow on time :)

All of this stuff I’d saved into a folder on my computer called “Inspiration” ~ It’s all from various members of Craftster…

I couldn’t really find anything yellow that I liked a whole lot. But here’s the pic of a concept that I liked so much, I decided to use it to make my Pentagram Necklace

As for orange… :)

I recently came across the idea for a popcan ashtray. My boyfriend & I are planning to quit smoking in a couple weeks, but I figured the idea would work well for a votive candleholder!! I mean, I really hate destroying pretty votive holders with the wax, so this would be ideal for me!! :D

I really liked this girl’s falls ~ I wish mine would turn out so well!!!

Here’s what I refer to as “the coolest wallet ever!” Hehehe. I love the different fabrics the girl had used, and I also love the way she designed it with all the pockets.

And last, but not least, I’m very fond of the sun design on this apron. I think that, when I finally get around to making an apron of my own, it is certainly going to display a similar design!!! :D

Color Week – Green

Yay for green ~ my favorite color!!! :D

Ironically, I haven’t made anything green yet, heh. So, I’ll post a pic of one of my WIPs, a long-sleeved-button down-shirt into a flowy-tank-top recon. I always liked this shirt, but rarely wore it because it never fit quite right around the armpit area :/ So, it sat in my closet until the shoulders & sleeves became discolored. I love the fabric & colors so much, though, I couldn’t just throw it out. So, it’s on its way to becoming a tank top. It’s all cut up, & the sides are pinched in to make it fit a bit better. I’m going to try & re-use as much of the fabric as I can :)

(Sorry that the pic doesn’t have sufficient lighting!!)

Color Week – Red/Pink

I decided it would be fun to participate in a week-long crafty blog challenge, called Color Week, where you post a pic of either a craft that you’d personally made or one that inspires you. It’s from a WordPress blog, but why I didn’t enter my Crafty blog in the challenge is beyond me now, lol. Oh well, prepare for a bit of a change of pace from Pagan-related content to general craft-related content. :)

Today’s theme is red/pink. The first thing that popped into my head was my first hand-sewing project ever – a camera cozy for my boyfriend. Granted, the flap & buttonhole are more flimsy than I’d liked it to have been, but it still serves its purpose & he still likes it. I also wanted to make the flap into the shape of an eyepatch (he has a thing for eyepatches for some reason, *lol*), but I wanted to save that for another time, when I’ve upgraded my skills a bit hehehe. It’s made from felt & a Wal Mart bandana.

Here’s another project of mine – a crochet hook cozy

And some falls…

And a pretty avatar :)

Pentagram Necklace

Inspired by a pair of dreamcatcher earrings on Craftster, I decided to make a pentrgram necklace. Made from a keyring, embroidery thread, & a few beads, here’s my final product. I think I may re-make it soon though, and use white thread instead of blue. But I’m pretty pleased with the result as is for now :D
